DIY: Beaded Bookmarks

(click on the pictures to make them larger)

Part of a present James & I gave to his Grandmother were two bookmarks. I made a thicker, more fun looking book mark,  for her to use with any book. Then I strung up a more dainty looking bookmark using seed beads and a cross charm on one end for her to use with her Bible.
She seemed to love these as well, and I have been having a blast making more bookmarks to gift away, as well as for James and myself.

These homemade bookmarks are so easy and there is really no end to possibilities, because so many color schemes can be used, and different beads and charms also!

To make each bookmark, I just collect a string (elastic, yarn, etc) and some beads. I also pick out a charm or two for the ends. I string on the beads. and TAH-DAH! Yes, it really is that easy!

Christmas Scarf Crazy

With Christmas being just around the corner, I have been preparing some presents for some of my family members. I always get stuck on what to get my mother-in-law, grandmother-in-law, Godmother, and grandma.... I was sitting here thinking about what I could buy them or even better make them. Then it came to me! I love arm knitting.... so they are all getting scarfs!
{ Some of them may even get 2! }

I got to knitting, and TAH-DAH! I finished them all today! I couldn't be happier, and I just hope they all love them! :)

Scarf Heaven!

I was snapchatting a friend today when I was in Hobby Lobby shopping for Yarn!
To help my obsession with arm knitting! This was only one side of the yarn isle and I just had to share it! AHHHHH I was so overwhelmed and happy!

So many colors! So many textures! So many choices! So many scarves!

Happy Birthday Yogi!

DIY YOGA CARD

First, I would like to start off by saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE VINCE!
My uncle is also my yoga teacher, so for his birthday I decided to try a yoga themed card! And I think it turned out great!

I also gave him an arm knitted scarf that I made, since I am still obsessed with arm knitting. (yes still!)

To make the card, I just used some scrap yarn from the scarf, and I hot glued it over an outline that I drew on some card-stick of a stick figure yoga post. I added a button for the face, and also added some happy birthday letter stickers.

He absolutely loved it, and the scarf!

I have some more yoga themed cards and crafts coming up soon, so keep an eye out. First I have to make some yoga cards per request of my momma. She wants to send some out. Easy and fun! and Super cute!

Namaste.

Knitting My Cold Away

Yes, I currently have a cold. I woke up this morning feeling terrible. It came out of no where!
Anyways, on my way home, I decided to stop and get some yarn.
Okay. Okay!
A lot of yarn!
I couldn't help myself! I just couldn't decide on all the colors! They all were just so happy and vibrant! I am planning on studying a little this weekend, and knitting a lot! I have been obsessed with arm knitting (watch for a post coming soon!) and I am making hats! I am also going to try out some mittens, and socks.
I got a variety of colors, styles, and textures.
Well I am off to knit until this cold is gone.
